Once again Pitfield Barn Cut Flower Farm will be hosting Wendy Darby from Juliet Sargeant’s Sussex Garden School, for an inspirational day of country crafting.
Pressed Flower Art for Beginners
Learn to create your own personalised art from flowers that you have harvested and prepared yourself
Introduction
A relaxing day surrounded by the beautiful flowers of Pitfield Barn Cut Flower Farm. Learn to harvest, prepare flowers for pressing and be inspired to create your own personalised art.
The workshop will commence with a demonstration, by Wendy, of the art of flower pressing, including how to select and prepare your flowers through the seasons.
You will choose a variety of fresh flowers from the farm garden, to press in your personal flower press. The press and flowers will be yours to take home at the end of the day.
We will also work with pre-pressed flowers which we have pressed for you. We will guide you through techniques for mounting and framing your pressed flowers, to make cards and other keepsakes.
